Loyola University Miguel B. Fernandez Family Center for Innovation & Collaborative Learning

A modern and inviting 35,000 GSF addition to campus is attached to historic Beatty Hall and creates a welcoming entrance to the quad from Cold Spring Lane.  Beatty Hall underwent a transformational renovation as part of this project, updating the 1920’s structure for today’s needs.  Featuring an outdoor classroom, active learning classrooms, an academic loft space and graduate commons the new building allows for collaboration between students and faculty across disciplines.  Students and faculty can meet and grab a snack or beverage at the Green and Gray Café located in the first floor commons area or enjoy the 21,000 square foot roof garden.  With this new facility, Loyola University was able to unify the Forbes Idea Lab and the Rizzo Career Center under one roof.  Office space is provided for faculty in psychology, speech-language-hearing sciences, sociology, and education.
