Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins, 1812 Ashland Avenue

Located near Johns Hopkins East Baltimore campus, this six-story, 170,000 sf life sciences building opened in 2016. The building at 1812 Ashland Avenue houses a number of Johns Hopkins endeavors aimed at commercializing its research, including the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, the FastForward 1812 innovation hub and a gene sequencing lab. This project also features one of the nation’s five prototype Starbucks Opportunity Cafés, a professional training operation that will prepare hundreds of area residents for employment. This is the third of five planned state-of-the-art facilities planned for the East Baltimore Development Initiative developed by Forest City.
