The Stewart’s Building
The redevelopment and renovation of the Stewart’s Building – listed on the National Register of Historic Places – spearheaded a dramatic change in the landscape of Baltimore’s historic west side. This project features the adaptive reuse of the landmark 240,000 sf Stewart’s Department Store into high-technology office and ground level retail spaces. The project’s new construction consisted of an eight-story, 22,000 sf annex featuring a clerestory atrium and 12,500 sf of infill construction. This LEED Certified Green Building is the world headquarters for the Catholic Relief Services.
